Francesco Dal Grande
Process and Quality Engineering at PCB Tecnomec
His background is in Chemical Engineering, with a Bachelor+Master degree in 2006 (Padova University, Italy) and a PhD in 2010 (Newcastle University and Imperial College London, UK).
The PhD experience allowed him to work and coordinate two inter-functional teams of international researchers, resulting in the publication of 4 papers, presentations at important conferences like Electroceramics 2008 (Manchester, UK), Solid State Ionics 2009 (Toronto, CAN) and Set for Britain 2010 (House of Commons, Westminister, London, UK).
In 2010 he moved to Italy to work for FIAMM as Quality and R&D Engineer. He spent the first 3 years in the Avezzano Plant (AQ), working on the fabrication process of automotive and industrial Lead-acid batteries.
In 2013 he moved to the Headquarter in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) to work on the development and optimization of the process of batteries manufacturing, working on each FIAMM’s production sites (Europe, USA, China).
After 10 months in Montecchio Maggiore he moved to the Waynesboro Plant (GA, USA) as Strategic Products and Process Development Manager, focusing on the development of UPS batteries and process monitoring and optimization.
In 2015 he moved back to the HQ in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) with the responsibility of the management of the Lead-acid batteries fabrication process parameters of FIAMM production sites (Europe, USA, China). In February 2017 FIAMM became part of the Hitachi Chemical Group.
In June 2017 he joined Tecnomec, a high-tech PCB manufacturing company, working on a complex and quickly evolving production as Process and Quality Engineer.
